The MC7806BD2TR4G is a member of the MC7800 Series, which consists of positive linear voltage regulators that are ideal for a wide range of applications, including on-card regulation. These monolithic integrated circuits are designed as fixed-voltage regulators and feature internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation. When properly heatsinked, they are capable of delivering output currents exceeding 1.0 A. While primarily intended for fixed voltage regulation, these devices can also be used with external components to achieve adjustable voltages and currents. Additionally, there is an automotive NCV7800 version available for automotive applications. With their robust features and versatile applications, the MC7806BD2TR4G and other MC7800 Series regulators offer reliable and efficient voltage regulation solutions for various electronic systems
