The MC7915CD2TG is a negative linear voltage regulator designed to complement the MC7800 series, offering a selection of fixed output voltage options from -5.0 V to -24 V. In addition to these standard options, an extra voltage option commonly used in MECL systems is also available in the MC7900 series. Featuring current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation, this regulator is built to withstand challenging operating conditions, providing rugged and reliable performance. With adequate heatsinking, it can handle output currents in excess of 1.0 A, making it suitable for a wide range of power supply applications
